The national flag is rectangular and the ratio of length to width is 3:2. The red flag has a five pointed star composed of green thin lines in the center. Red comes from the color of the early national flag. Green is the favorite color of Muhammad's descendants. The green Pentagram symbolizes people's belief in Islam. Another explanation is that the star is the talisman of Solomon to drive away disease and evil.
