Story:
The national flag is rectangular and the ratio of length to width is 2:1. The blue flag has a yellow bar in the center, which divides the flag into two blue rectangles, and a 12 point white star in the lower left corner. The top half of the yellow bar symbolizes blue sky, the bottom half symbolizes ocean, the yellow bar symbolizes equator, and the 12 point white star symbolizes Nauru's original 12 tribes.
