Story:
The national flag is rectangular and the ratio of length to width is 3:2. The flag is composed of two equal rectangles, red on the top and black on the bottom. The gold pattern in the center includes a five pointed star, an arc gear and a machete. Red represents the blood of the martyrs fighting against the colonists, and black is the praise of the African continent. The five corners symbolize unity, freedom, justice, democracy and progress. Gears and machetes symbolize the unity of workers, peasants, laborers and the army, and commemorate the peasants and soldiers who started armed struggle in their early years.
