Story:
The national flag is rectangular and the ratio of length to width is 3:2. The flag is composed of blue, white and red. The left corner of the upper part is a blue square with a white five pointed star in the center; the right side is a white rectangle. The lower half is a red rectangle. Red symbolizes the blood of martyrs, white symbolizes the snow of the Andes peak, and blue symbolizes the ocean.
