Shengxifu is a time-honored enterprise in Beijing. It was founded in 1911. The founder, Liu Xisan, whose real name is Zhan en, is called Xisan and whose breast name is Laifu. He was born in Shahe Town, Yexian County, Shandong Province, and worked as a farmer for generations. Liu Xisan studied for several years when he was a child. Later, his hometown was hit by disaster. In order to make a living, Liu Xisan worked in a hotel run by foreigners in Qingdao and learned some everyday English. As a result, Liu Xisan transferred to a foreign firm as a salesman, responsible for purchasing straw hat braids in the countryside. In 1912, he and his friends set up shengjufu hat shop in Tianjin. After getting a considerable loan from the Toyo bank in 1917, Liu Xisan chose the location of his shop at 21, the French concession in Tianjin, and changed shengjufu into Shengxifu. In 1919, Sheng Xifu bought a complete set of electric power straw hat manufacturing machine from westerners, set up a straw hat factory to produce and sell straw hats, and soon opened a market in Tianjin. A few years later, Shengxifu successively set up fur hat factory, cap factory, satin hat factory, chemical bleaching factory, felt hat factory and printing factory, and opened two distribution stores. In the 1920s and 1930s, more than 20 branches were set up in Nanjing, Beijing and other cities. Sheng Xifu has sales agencies in the United States, Australia, Britain, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway and Africa. From 1924 to 1934, he won 15 awards from the national government. Some celebrities wrote inscriptions for Sheng Xifu, including song Zheyuan's inscription "Ming Chi Zhong Wai"; Qin Dechun's inscription "Guan Mian Qunlun"; Cao Kun's inscription "the light of national goods"; Zou Quansun's inscription "Guan Mian Wu Hua". The plaque of Sheng Xifu, written by Wu Peifu, has been hanging up to now. In 1936, Beijing Xidan North Street was opened; in 1937, Qianmen Street and Wangfujing Street were opened; in 1938, sandy beach was opened. The four branches are located in the prosperous urban area, full of customers every day. In the 1940s, Liu Xisan was old and frail, and returned home to provide for the aged.            In the early years of the Republic of China, many people cut off their long braids, took off their melon skin hats, and took off their long shirts. They all wanted to change into new clothes, shoes and hats suitable for the trend. Liu Xisan, who is full of innovation spirit, was right The social trend is to promote the European and American style "time hat" to the society.            Sheng Xifu's lightweight and beautiful Panama straw hat and British, French and American woolen hat were naturally welcomed by people and became the best seller at that time. Therefore, Sheng Xifu stood out in the hat industry.            When Sheng Xifu bought advanced equipment from abroad twice, he paid a lot of money to hire technicians. He also recruited technical backbones from the same trade, and tried every means to collect network talents to collect unique skills in domestic hat making technology. He also sent people to Japan several times to study and investigate, and brought back advanced hat making technology in Southeast Asia. With the active absorption of advanced technology at home and abroad, Shengxifu has achieved a high starting point in imitation and innovation of products; the structure of front store and back factory enables Shengxifu to respond quickly to market demand. At the same time, Shengxifu's commercial tentacles have extended to a wide range of regions and countries on five continents, from which it has obtained the sales situation of the international market, advanced technology and commodity patterns, integrated technology and style of various countries, and its brand connotation has rapidly accumulated.            In order to create a famous brand and prevent others from counterfeiting, Liu Xisan applied to the government for the registration of the "three hats" trademark. The Japanese straw hat, which monopolized the market, was left out in the cold, and Sheng Xifu's "three hats" were well-known in Tianjin. In 1937, there were 75 kinds of hats in Shengxifu hat factory, and more than 200 kinds of hats were actually produced.            The establishment of the brand of Shengxifu not only stems from its complete variety, but also relies on the strong technology in the production process of Shengxifu products. Sheng Xifu from feeding, production to factory inspection, there are people everywhere to check, the quality of each hat is excellent. Shengxifu's traditional manufacturing method and strict process have cast a solid technical foundation for its brand construction.            In 1936, the establishment of Sheng Xifu hat shop in Wangfujing, Beijing, made Sheng Xifu go through its glorious course. In 1956, Shengxifu hat shop in Wangfujing Street of Beijing participated in the public-private joint venture. In the same year, Premier Zhou Enlai, after inspecting Wangfujing Street, instructed that the product characteristics of time-honored brands should be protected and carried forward to better serve the people of the capital. Under Premier Zhou's suggestion and care, Wangfujing Shengxifu hat factory was formally established on a large scale.            After the public-private partnership, Sheng Xifu in Wangfujing undertook the task of serving the national leaders and foreign guests on the basis of maintaining the traditional fine workmanship. He has made hats for Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, Liu Shaoqi, Chen Yi, Jiang Zemin, President Kim Il Sung of North Korea, President Sukarno of Indonesia, and wife of Prince Sihanouk of Cambodia.
