Sinochem Group (Sinochem Group) was founded in 1950, formerly known as China National Chemical Import and Export Corporation. It was once China's largest foreign trade enterprise in history. At present, it is an important state-owned backbone enterprise supervised by the state owned assets supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, headquartered in Beijing.

Sinochem Group is one of China's four major national oil companies. It is the largest agricultural input (fertilizer, seed, pesticide) integrated business enterprise, the leading comprehensive service provider of chemical products, and has strong influence in high-end real estate hotel and non bank financial field. As a comprehensive multinational enterprise based on market competition, Sinochem Group provides high-quality products and professional services, which are widely used in social production and people's clothing, food, housing and transportation. The brands of Sinochem and SINOCHEM enjoy good reputation at home and abroad.

Sinochem Group now has more than 300 operating institutions at home and abroad, holding a number of listed companies such as "Sinochem International" (SH, 600500), "Sinochem fertilizer" (HK, 00297), "Fangxing real estate" (HK, 00817), etc., and is the largest shareholder of "Far East Hongxin" (HK, 03360). In June 2009, Sinochem Group was restructured as a whole to establish Sinochem Co., Ltd.

Sinochem Group is also one of the first Chinese enterprises to be shortlisted in Fortune Global 500. So far, Sinochem Group has been shortlisted 24 times and ranked 107th in 2014. In 2013 and 2014, Sinochem Group was rated as "the most admired company in the world" by fortune for two consecutive years and ranked first in the trade industry. Over the years, Sinochem Group has made unremitting efforts to promote strategic transformation and management change, and achieved sustained, healthy and rapid development of the enterprise. In the performance appraisal of SASAC of the State Council, Sinochem Group has been rated a for nine consecutive years and three consecutive terms.
