Shanghai Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the company) (stock code of Hong Kong Stock Exchange: 02607; stock code of Shanghai Stock Exchange: 601607) is a national state-owned holding pharmaceutical industry group headquartered in Shanghai, China. The company's main business covers the whole industry chain of pharmaceutical R & D and manufacturing, distribution and retail, with an operating revenue of 68 billion yuan in 2012. According to the ranking of top 500 Chinese enterprises assessed by China Enterprise Federation in 2013, the company ranks second in the national pharmaceutical industry in terms of comprehensive ranking. It is one of the few listed pharmaceutical companies in China that takes the lead in pharmaceutical products and distribution market, and has been selected into Shanghai Stock Exchange Index, sample stocks of CSI 300 index, and H shares were selected into Hang Seng Index and MSCI.

In August 2015, Shanghai Pharmaceutical was ranked 22nd in the list of "2015 top 500 Chinese manufacturing enterprises" sponsored by "China Manufacturing Enterprises Association". In August 2016, Shanghai Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. ranked 133 in the "2016 top 500 Chinese enterprises". In September 2019, Shanghai Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. ranked 43rd in the list of "top 500 Chinese manufacturing enterprises in 2019". On December 18, 2019, people's daily ranked 93rd in the "China brand development index" 100 list.
