Xining Special Steel Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Xining Special Steel) is located in Xining City, Qinghai Province. Its predecessor was Xining steel plant, which was built in 1964 and put into operation in 1969. In 1996, the company system reform was completed. In 1997, the main assets of iron and steel were successfully listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (securities code: 600117).
Xining Special Steel is the largest resource-based special steel production base in Western China and the only one in Northwest China. It is a national innovative enterprise and a national military product supporting enterprise.
After years of development, through the upgrading and transformation of traditional industries and the development of advantageous industries, it has formed a comprehensive production capacity with an annual output of 750000 tons of coke, 2.1 million tons of steel and 2 million tons of steel. It has become a resource comprehensive development iron and steel joint enterprise integrating "special steel manufacturing, coal coking and real estate development".
