On June 2, 2019, Anhui provincial SASAC will transfer 51% of the shares of Masteel group to Baowu iron and Steel Co., Ltd. of China for free, according to the people's network. After the transfer is completed, Magang group will be transformed into a holding subsidiary of Baowu iron and Steel Co., Ltd. by a wholly-owned subsidiary of Anhui SASAC. Affected by the above matters, the actual controller of Magang will also change. At present, Masteel group holds 45.54% of the listed companies, which is the direct controlling shareholder of the latter, and Anhui SASAC is the actual controller of the listed companies. Once transferred into a bank, the status of the direct controlling shareholder of Magang group will not change. Baowu iron and Steel Co., Ltd. of China becomes the indirect controlling shareholder of the listed company, and the state owned assets and Resources Commission of the State Council becomes the actual controller. On December 18th, 2019, the people's daily ranked 94th in the list of "China brand development index" 100.
In July, 2020, fortune is the top 500 of China, and Maanshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. ranks 130.
